  1. While we're still finding and fixing major bugs related to our color
  2. implementation, we're *not* doing much extensive testing of applications.
  3. In general, right now we're looking for and fixing as many color related
  4. (and an occasional filesystem related) bugs.  After we have those under
  5. control, we'll hire some student workers and do more exhaustive testing.
  6.  
  7. The purpose of this list currently is to give you an idea of what we're
  8. working on and the general class that various applications fit into.  The
  9. possible classes are:
  10.  
  11.     Green -- thoroughly tested; no bugs that would prevent the vast
  12.          majority of users from using this application.
  13.  
  14.     Yellow -- less well tested or known bugs that prevent some
  15.           functionality from being usable.  At a minimum, the
  16.           application must be able to read and display its
  17.           own document types.
  18.  
  19.     Orange -- Will take mouse and keyboard events, but has enough
  20.           major bugs to make the application unusable.
  21.  
  22.     Red -- Will not come up, but is still considered a target for
  23.            a better class by the time 2.0 ships.
  24.  
  25.     Black -- Will not come up no, nor is it expected to when 2.0
  26.          ships (with possible System 7 spoofing exceptions).
  27.  
  28.     Ether -- Application hasn't been tested yet but has already been
  29.          purchased or ordered
  30.  
  31. This file should only contain listings for "commercial" software.
  32. Shareware, Demoware and Freeware will be in a separate file.
  33. The comments after the "--" may contain jargon that only ARDI employees
  34. understand.

  36. Adobe Illustrator '88 1.9.5:    Yellow -- OLD: largely untested
  37. Atelier Hello (august 1992):    Yellow -- not tested much
  38. A-Train 1.0:    Yellow -- color version has incorrect colors, B&W Seems to work
  39. Canvas 1.02m:   Yellow -- very old version, Seems to work, not much testing
  40. Carmen Time:    Yellow -- Seems to work, have tested a lot
  41. Carmen USA:     Yellow -- Seems to work, haven't tested much
  42. Carmen World:   Yellow -- Seems to work, haven't tested much
  43. Critter Editor 1.0.2:   Yellow -- sounds don't work; haven't tested much
  44. Crystal Quest 2.20z:    Yellow -- seems to work, some bad colors
  45. Disk Doubler 3.0 app:   Yellow -- seems to work, haven't tested much
  46. EndNote Plus 1.2.1:     Yellow -- may work, don't know how to test
  47. Excel 4.0:      Yellow -- Haven't tested much

  53. Leprechaun 3.0: Yellow -- needs "Pretend Sound"; works; haven't tested much

  55. MacClade 3.04:  Yellow -- hasn't been tested much (will splode if printer not configured)
  56. MacDraw II 1.1: Yellow -- seems to work, haven't tested much
  57. MacLink 6.0:    Yellow -- can't use serial port, but some translators appear to work
  58. MacMoney 3.52:  Yellow -- "About box" causes death; haven't tested much
  59. MacPaint 2.0:   Yellow -- haven't tested much

  74. Typestyler 1.0.2:       Yellow -- has trouble matching fonts, largely untested
  75. WillMaker 5:    Yellow -- Export to Text facility seems to work, haven't tested much
  76. WriteNow 4.0:   Yellow -- seems to work, not tested much, some char scaling problems
  77. Word 5.1:       Yellow -- Needs "noclock", seems to work, haven't tested much

  79. FileMaker Pro 2.1:      Orange -- Filesystem problems
  80. MacInTax '93:   Orange -- Complains about fonts (not easy to install currently)
  81. PageMaker 4.2:  Orange -- qStdText.c:531 failed assertion
  82. PageMaker 5.0:  Orange -- Opens files, but even displaying has serious problems
  83. Persuasion Player 1.0.4:        Orange -- "plays" in wrong color, splodes
